The Physical Therapy Clinical Experience Camp is a selective, 3-day immersive program designed for high school juniors and seniors who are serious about pursuing careers in:

• Physical Therapy

• Sports Medicine

• Athletic Training

• Pre-Health pathways

The program is led by Learn PT Online, founded by Dr. Craig Peppers, and proudly partnered with X-Factor Volleyball.

Unlike traditional shadowing programs, students gain structured, hands-on clinical exposure in a supervised, professional training environment. This program is designed to build confidence, clarity, and real-world experience that translates directly to college applications and future healthcare opportunities.

What Students Will Learn & Do

Movement assessments and performance analysis

Measuring and documenting vital signs

Assisting with rehabilitation and functional exercise sessions

Supporting Kinotek AI movement screening

Measuring joint range of motion (ROM)

Assisting with PT modalities (heat, cold, TENS)

Basic kinesiology taping preparation and application

Clinic safety and infection control procedures

Professional patient and athlete communication

Understanding scope of practice, ethics, and HIPAA-aware conduct

Injury prevention and recovery techniques

Small group instruction with direct supervision

No virtual option (in-person clinical experience only)

Designed for motivated students—not casual participation

Daily Schedule

(Typical Day)

  • 8:00am–8:30am | Medical Clinic Briefing & Review
    Instructor-led review of the previous day’s work, patient and athlete scenarios, and the day’s training objectives.

  • 8:30am–10:00am | Medical Lecture Series
    Classroom instruction covering physical therapy fundamentals, clinical anatomy, and medical terminology required for working within a rehabilitation enviornment.

  • Course Learning Modules
    Introduction to Physical Therapy and the Medical Team
    Medical Terminology Foundations
    Anatomy and Physiology
    Body Positioning and Joint Movements
    Common Injuries Treated in Physical Therapy
    Patient Care in the Rehabilitation Enviornment
    OSHA and Infection Control Procedures
    Ethical and Legal Considerations in Physical Therapy

  • 10:00am–11:00am | Clinical Skills Lab + Sports Injury Case Application
    Students apply classroom learning through hands-on clinical practice using real sports injury scenarios.

    Skills practiced include:

    Vital sign assessment
    Range-of-motion testing (goniometry)
    • Kinotek AI motion analysis

    • KT taping techniques

    • Recovery modalities (heat, ice, TENS, Normatec)

    Participants also learn rehabilitation approaches for common orthopedic injuries affecting the ankle, knee, hip, back, shoulder, elbow, and hand.

  • 11:00am–12:00pm | Lunch Break
    Lunch provided daily on-site.

  • 12:00–3:30 | Supervised Clinical Practicum
    Participants work in real clinic-performance training environment under direct supervision.

    Activities include:

    Supporting rehabilitation and exercise sessions

    Assisting with recovery modalities and equipment
    Practicing patient and athlete communication
    Learning clinic workflow and documentation procedures
    Understanding the responsibilities of a Physical Therapy Technician

  • 3:30–4:00 | End-of-Day Debrief
    Instructor-led feedback session summarizing the day’s key clinical takeaways and previewing the next day’s focus.

Dr. Craig Peppers, PT, DPT
Founder, Learn PT Online | Program Director

Dr. Craig Peppers, PT, DPT, brings over 20 years of experience in clinical practice and healthcare education. As a licensed Physical Therapist and founder of Learn PT Online, he has developed structured training programs designed to

prepare students for successful careers in healthcare.

His clinical background spans pediatrics, geriatrics, sports medicine, and neurore habilitation, allowing students to learn from real-world experience across diverse patient populations. Dr. Peppers is committed to bridging the gap between classroom knowledge and clinical application, ensuring students gain practical, hands-on exposure in a professional environment.
